100+ partners and counting: the kitchens and homes behind Tifstay

Tifstay crossed a milestone this year: more than a hundred partners — home kitchens, mess services, hostels and PGs — now run their business on the platform. Behind every listing in the app there's a person who decided to bet on themselves. These are their stories.
The two-burner kitchen that feeds an IT corridor
In Hingna, a home cook starts at 5 a.m. so that by noon, dabbas of poli-bhaji and varan-bhaat reach engineers who moved to Nagpur for their first job. Before joining Tifstay, her customers came by word-of-mouth and payments came whenever they came. Today her monthly subscribers pay digitally upfront, she sees tomorrow's meal count every evening, and skip-days no longer mean wasted food.
“Pehle hisaab kitaab diary mein tha. Ab sab app mein hai — main sirf khana banati hoon.”
The hostel near Medical Square that filled its empty floor
A 40-bed hostel a few lanes from GMCH ran half-empty for a year — not for lack of demand, but because students couldn't find it and didn't trust what they couldn't see. Verified photos, honest amenity lists and in-app deposits changed that. The owner's favourite feature isn't bookings — it's reviews. “Good review aata hai toh agla booking khud aata hai.”
The mess that became a brand
A Sadar mess owner listed on Tifstay expecting a few extra orders. What he got was data: which thali sells, which day subscribers skip, what price point converts. He launched a half-tiffin plan for light eaters and a Sunday special — both ideas came straight from patterns in his partner dashboard.
Why we tell these stories
Marketplaces are usually described from the consumer side. But Tifstay only works because a hundred-plus operators — most of them first-time digital business owners — trusted a Nagpur startup with their livelihood. Featuring them is the least we can do. If you're a Tifstay partner with a story (and every partner has one), tell your onboarding manager — we'd love to write yours next.
